I want to appreciate them for being something different, but... they come off making the toes look curled because of the way your eye follows the line of the foot now without a back heel.
I see that in the up close shot, but the one with the model walking in them, I don't see it nearly as much at all. I even checked out a few articles on this style from a very non-heel wearing journalist and she mentioned they were comfortable and nothing about hurting her toes. But I doubt she wore them too long. :)
They're cute, but I would be terrified of falling over. On the plus side, you'd never have to worry about getting your heel caught in something or snapping off. I do find myself hoping that she has a good chiropractor.
Supposedly that platform is weighted forward and goes farther back, so it's probably more like walking on your toes than normal. I'd say these aren't for a days adventure about town. I'm guess short walks to different chair for a night out. Definitely an 'impact' shoe.
I don't know. Some of the things I saw yesterday made these look comfortable! Some absolutely abstract ways of standing on your toes with barely anything supporting the rest of the foot.
They look totally unbalanced, but I couldn't find anyone saying they actually felt that way. No reports of some major star or model flubbing it in them either. Victoria Beckham wore a pair for an entire event evening and no cameras caught her falling. :/
