Welcome to Shoes!

This community was started in November of 2009 by elizaria. As of April, 2011, admin responsibilities have been handed over to jest. I am always interested in community feedback so please don't hesitate to contact me with any comments or questions.

Members are encouraged to post pictures and to participate in the themed challenges; discussion posts are also welcome as long as they are on topic.

Obviously the topic is shoes - all kinds of shoes – all brands, shapes and sizes are welcome. If you like Doc Martens, Jimmy-Choos, or fetish ballet heels in leather, latex and lacquer, it is all welcome here! Please try to include brand and/or designer information when possible.

Remember Blogposting/Hotlinking isn't offered at every shoeselling website out there so it is a good idea to upload pictures to a free agent like photobucket.com and its likes to be sure we get to keep the images around for more than a week or so...

RULES, we have some:

1. Maximum imagesize above a cut: 300-400px (not over 400px!). It's easily fixed by adding a width="400px" to your code to posting an image. I always use this when I post images:

2. Images must be work safe


3. Try to keep to a maximum of 3 shoe pictures per post unless a specific theme or topic is being explored. For instance, if you want to post about the evolution of the high heel, of course more than 3 images are allowed in your post. However, if you just discovered a new online shoe shop and you love every single pair, it might be better to stagger your posts over several days rather than hitting us with a hundred images all at once.


4. If posting several pictures, only 1 IMAGE ABOVE THE CUT-TAG please!
   Remember to use the <cut>insert image and text</cut> tag
