I like the splash of color the sole adds, though as soon as it gets a bit of wear, it won't look nearly as nice.

I bet the pretty colour actually looks shabbier than a plain sole once it gets scuffed because it draws so much attention to itself.

As you can see, they do the sole thing in all sorts of colors. Looks great in photos, but unless you walk only on carpets....
