Kerrie Luft is a 27 year old British shoe designer who is getting a lot of attention these days. She recently won the Fashion Fringe Accessories prize and is now off to design shoes for Roger Vivier. I love the art nouveau influence in the collection shown on her website.

It looks as though it'd be hell to walk in... but it's *gorgeous*.

Gorgeous, but the smooth metal tip on the heel alarms me a bit. Aside from the obvious danger of slipping, I once read somewhere that when stilettos first became popular they were banned in a lot of public buildings because of all the damage metal tips do to marble floors.

I really like them, but I'd be afraid if you tried to walk in them the heel would just collapse XD

I am confident in the engineering of the heel to support a lot of weight! My concern has more to do with the lack of rubber grip on the bottom of it - on any sort of smooth surface it looks like it would slip.
