The states seem to get an unusual amount of snow this year? Or rather season I should say, as it began in 2010. Or at least that's what it seems like from my Twitter/journal feeds.
Boots is always needed with crappy weather, I hate freezing my feet off and I've been living in my suede Bronx boots with sheepskin lining \0/ They're high enough to not have snow creeping inside when I plod through the snow and thicksoled enough to keep me warm :D
We do get a lot of crappy ice/snow at this time of year. It started early, this year. Usually, you're correct, it doesn't start till January for most places over here, but this season seems like the entire country got hit hard in December.
And I think I found some Lands End that'll do the job. I hope.
