Replacing an old standby
November 7th, 2009 06:59 pmHope this is ok for a shoes!pics.
I've got a pair of old dElia*s knee high motorcycle boots that I'm looking to replace sometime (not like NOW, I'm likely going to wait until all the gift cards come in around Christmas) as they're really starting to show their age and I don't want them to come apart. Surprisingly they've lasted me since I was 14 or so (I'm 24 now). Suffice to say they've had a good run.
Anyway, some contenders.

Another pair of dElia*s ones, though I am unsure of their quality nowadays. I know they USED to be good.

But these Sporto ones seem comfortable in addition to nice looking.

Then of course, these Madden Girl ones are VERY cute.

And in the "I can only afford them if they go on sale or I get a ton of money for Christmas" ones... Nine West.
(All but the dElia*s ones are from www.zappos.com)

Date: 2009-11-08 10:23 am (UTC)I like the first ones, as I tend to fall headfirst for buckles and straps myself. But IMO the sole's too thin. I like the sole on the Sporto's and Madden Girl ones better as it's a bit chunkier. Or because I know that flat shoes on snow makes my toes freeze ;)
(like the other day when I wore a pair of suede Blend converse-lookalikes and forgot flat soles = freezing feet no matter how warm the upper part of your shoe is *brrr*)
